old spuffy fic

Hi,

I'm looking for an old fic I vaguely remember that was spike/buffy. i *think* that maybe buffy was blind and spike was trying to get her eyesight back for her by going through some tests. i seem to remember them falling through to an underground room where some guy showed up to tell him that he'd have to do 3 tests and then asking if he still wanted to go through with it.

i also remember one of the tests was either spike holding a cross, or maybe walking across a room littered with crosses?

buffy didn't want him to do it, but he did anyway?

sound familiar to anyone?

i could totally have the blind thing wrong. but i do remember the crosses in the testing.
