People were talking here the other day about some of the classic Spuffy stories; you know the ones. Written while cannon was still a WIP? Anyway it got me to thinking about some of the other stories. Remember when we all really though Spike might come back from Africa human? I remember the argument about how Joss had already done the "Vampire with a soul" bit and wouldn't rehash it again...

Anyhow I'm trying to remember a Spuffy story where Spike comes back human from Africa. I'm pretty sure it was written during the hiatus between season 6 and 7. I can't remember the author or title; and sadly the site I found it on seems to be gone. I do remember that Spike is ill, and needs glasses. No superpowers or anything like that; just an ordinary guy struggling with his return to life.
