The fic I'm looking for has Buffy and Spike making a bet. The bet is that Spike has to go like (blank amount of time) with out saying or making any sound at all. I remember that if he does he has to leave for good and never come back. It's set during the nerd attacks. I remember when they go looking for them Spike realizes that he's going to lose Buffy in the process of saving her life when he shouts for her to duck. And That's all I remember. Thanks everyone.

I am probably gonna feel stupid when I find out what fic this is, but I have a snippet of a fic that I can't get out of my head.

All I am remembering is Spike, Xander, Giles, Dawn, and Andrew going shopping at a toy store. They wind up on the news for being crazy, except for Dawn and Andrew who did their shopping online and just had to pick up in store. No idea why they were in a toy store or what they did that got them on the news.

I know that I should remember what fic this is from, and I've probably read it more than once, and the author is likely even on my flist, but I can't for the life of me place it.

 Does anyone remember the name of this story or if it's finished.  

Spike and Dawn try to resurrect Joyce but instead Spike's mother is brought back.  She accepts Spike and makes the others see Spike for who he really is.
