*Old* Spike/Buffy fic

Hello!

A couple of years ago (already I'm making this difficult!) I read a brilliantly written Spike/Buffy fic. Spike has somehow been rendered either deaf, mute or both. If I recall correctly, it's both. He was in some sort of fight or altercation (possibly torture) that meant he went a bit off the rails mentally and it resulted in him losing the ability to communicate properly. Buffy looks after him and they begin to communicate with each other using sign language. Of course, the ending is nice, they sleep together, he learns to say he loves her vocally. Happy smiles all around. I'm pretty sure it would have been around the NC-17 end of the spectrum as there is definitely sex and possibly flashbacks to violence and torture scenes.
