Looking for Spuffy series with Xander roadtrip

I know this is a series I've read but I can't remember anything more than this side story about Xander. It dealt with Xander driving around the country picking up the potential Slayers to fight the First Evil. I'm very certain the entire series was Spuffy, and the Xander story was taking place at the same time of the main series. Xander and Spike were at least friendly, if not actual friends, and Xander and Spike talked several times on the phone during this trip. I remember that at one point Xander got lost in I think Virgina and that one of the potentials ended up bringing along her little sister (and I think Xander ended up taking in them both at the end). And there may have been Xander falling asleep at the wheel at some point and possibly playing chicken with the Harbringers. But that might be mixing up something else entirely.

Strangely enough, I remember *nothing* about the primary series. At all. I don't know if Spike has his soul, if he's human, or how he and Buffy worked things out. Hopefully somebody recognizes this series as I'm about to go on a trip and I'd love to take it with me. Help, please?
