I have another story stuck in my head kicking me and it won't leave me alone. This story has to do with Angel losing his soul again. I think it would be around season 5 because Dawn is there and Spike is helping the scoobies and Buffy run from him. They are hiding from him in a hotel at one point and while they are there Buffy and Spike become involved. Can anyone help?

Long saga

This is a pretty famous story/author, I think, but I can't remember many details. I remember that it's a very-very long multi-part story in which Buffy and Spike build their own vampire family and have variety of adventures. I don't think Buffy is a vamp, they're just bound by blood (there's a scene where the new members get to drink their mixed blood). Also I seem to remember that they get thrown back in time (or maybe that's how the story starts? or ends?). There's some vamp who is their loyal friend, like lieutenant, whose name is Rodrick? Roddick? Somethi-c? There's also a moment in which they confront Giles and others from Sunnydale crowd and Buffy says that she has this new family which is going to come first. I do think that they reconcile with Giles and Joyce, at least. And help out on some Sunnydale emergency. Now that I think about it, it's possible the story starts when Buffy leaves for LA after she kills Angel, and everyone thinks she's gone, but she in fact meets Spike... Anyone? :)
