Giles fic series - London demon bar

Hi,

I'm looking for a specific Giles centred story that is part of a rather dark Giles-centric series that begins with the development of his 'Ripper' persona. I think it uses that name, but I can't find it on Google. The series involves Giles, Ethan, and a secret satanic kool-aid sort of group, and follows his transition into being a Watcher.

The specific story I'm looking for has Giles in London. Spike is following him. They go into a rough demon bar Giles used to work at(name may involve a unicorn). His normal drink is a mix of absinthe and brandy. There is some sort of sexual-ish encounter in the bar.

At some point, Giles, Spike, and Ethan end up in an abandoned house together, trying to fight off a bad guy who is using a horde of rats. The atmosphere of the story is rather dark and grim, but quite humorous in places. The motivations of all of the main characters remain very ambiguous.

The series is at least several years old. It is not from ffic.net or livejournal.

Spuffy during The Gift

Hey all. Just rewatched The Gift. *sniff* I have in my mind a couple of iconic fill-in-the-blank type fics, set right after Spike gives Buffy the whole "you treat me like a man" speech, but I can't find anything in my old links or around the netz. I know there are some AUs that make everything better, but what I remember are more like bittersweet one-last-moment together pieces. Help??
