S/A Angel human

Looking for a story where Angel becomes human - may be the Shanshu - takes place during and alternate AtS. He and Spike are a couple, and Angel insists they can stay together. The group (AtS) goes to a cabin, but Spike is left out. I recall that later Angel is begging Spike to change him back. While he enjoyed a brief time as human, now he hates it.

Hi, I'm new to this comm and hoping y'all can help me re-find a fic I read years ago. Basic premise is Xander shows up at the Hyperion (Pre-Wolfram & Hart?) after accidentally being hit by a spell in Sunnydale and walking? to LA. Angel and Xander have to "bond" in order to save Xanders life. Does this sound at all familiar to anyone?
