I can't remember the season but it was a Spuffy. It was set after Angel left and Buffy was having anxiety problems that Spike was helping her through. She had to take pills for the attacks. They had to go to LA to help Angel and they (Spike and Buffy) at first were just friends who loved each other but didn't want to be shot down.

That's what I thought too. But it's not. That one has Faith, Xander and Cordy in it. The one I'm thinking of just has Spike Buffy and Angel maybe Cordy as a small part.
I mostly remember the very beginning when Joyce and Spike are confirming that Buffy has her pills in her purse.
