I have one more question...

I'm looking for a fic where Buffy is turned - I think maybe Dawn calls Spike, who's been living in LA (?) when Buffy is sick, dying, and he turns her. But he is not real happy to have to take care of her. I think he has another girlfriend at first..
Buffy keeps her soul, I think, and I remember one scene, where someone human attacks Buffy, maybe tries to rape her, and she defends herself, and Spike is at first disgusted, when he finds out she harmed a human, but then he realizes she was hurt first.

Later something happens with Dawn, and Buffy and Spike have to go help her.

Sounds like it might be Now and Then by Sassangel. Not sure where to find it, though. I read it at captive souls and that archive was taken down. Doesn't look like you can get it from the wayback machine either :(
