Older Spuffy Fic

I'm searching for a fic I read a long time ago in which Spike comes back from Africa, but not with his soul. I think it's an alternate season 7, but as it has been a long time since I read it, I can't say for certain. I do know that Spike is not really in control. The African demon thought what Buffy deserved was torment and death and when Spike first goes back you figure out he's acting kind of like Angelus. I do remember a part where Spike's demon breaks free from the entity, or whatever it is that is in control of his body, and warns Buffy to get in the house before the other can take him over again.

I hope someone can help me from this little bit.

Hmmm - I remember one somewhat like that - Spike was given a soul, but it wasn't his, it belonged to a very nasty piece of work. He can only relate to Buffy and the Scoobies when his demon is out; then he has some control over his actions and can save them from himself. I think they get Dru to come back (or she shows up) to kick the soul out of him. Don't remember the title or author, though. [big surprise, there, huh?:] Sorry!
