Spike leaves after beating

I am looking for a story where Spike leaves after being badly beaten. He either goes to Angel or Angel gets him, but he recovers with Angel. After recovery he returns to England where he has a home and his family are ghosts in the house. Buffy and the others come there. Read it a while ago and would like to read again.
