a fic where Spike learns that he's always had his soul

Hello, does this sound familiar to anybody?  I remember a fic where Spike has feelings or "stirrings" as if he has a soul, and it is confusing to him.  After a conversation with Angel, it turns out that Drusilla botched up the process of turning Spike, and that Angel had to complete the process for her.  Also, as a result, Spike's soul never left, but was just buried deep inside.  Thanks for any help!  

ETA - I forgot to mention that this is a Spuffy fic.

If I remember right it could be either the 'Erotic Adventures of Willow and Spike' by Laure Alexander, or something by Saber ShadowKitten.

I could be more specific if I knew whether the story you're looking for is gen or slash.

That sounds very familiar to me--I think it's a fairly early Spuffy fic, probably written in season five or before.
