I remember a story pretty clearly but the title and useful information is gone. Buffy comes across a small demon being kicked around like a football by some large demons and tries to help him, but is also beaten. The demon she tried to rescue is dying and rubs some of his blood on her lips, sending her to an alternate universe where it looks like it's years after "the Wish". In a different version of Sunnydale vamps are the main population, with a sort of police force making sure vampires are where they're supposed to be and doing what they should be. Somehow, Buffy is a vampire here. Spike is also there and she recognizes him even though he has no idea who the cute blond vampire is, and they get together. Giles is also a vampire and is in love with vamped Willow. They find a way to send Buffy back to her world and she gets back with Spike, though I'm hazy on the details-- some sort of way to bring the other world's Spike to her Spike body or something? And at the end Giles from the other Sunnydale does a spell to send himself to them and we get a glimpse that means Giles/Willow will definitely be part of the future before the story ends. Does anyone know what story this is?

That would be I Will Follow by kari mouke. The fic is no longer on line unless you can find it somehow on the way back machine. The author removed all of her fics when she left the fandom. Sorry, can't tell you how to use that because I don't know myself.
