Post-Gift AU

I read this a long time ago on sinister-attraction.net, but now I can't find it and someone on another site is looking.
It starts off in the Gift, but Spike jumps into the portal instead of Buffy. He is sent to hell and is horribly tortured every day for so long he can't remember how to speak, who he is, anything beyond hell. An angel or something in the form of Buffy is allowed to comfort him and see to his wounds before he has to be tortured again. Eventually, Buffy in the real world decides to do something to help Spike. he's back, but he can't talk or remember anything and they tie him to Buffy's bed and feed him and try to help him... and I read this so long ago I can't remember mush else. Does anyone know the title or author of this?

I think it might be Compassion by Funky Chicken. I've found it on both S-A and Fanfiction.net but there are just 15 chapters on both sites and I don't think it's finished anywhere. Anyway, here's the link, hope it's the story you're looking for.

I think it may be "Becoming Spike". He comes back feral and I think Buffy finds him in the factory.
