Spuffy fic with Joni Mitchell song/ Beyond Surrender

I've got two requests and I hope that you might be able to help me find at least one of them!

1/
The first is rather obscure and I've just got my fingers crossed that someone will know what I'm talking about!

Ages ago I read a spuffy fic which may well have even been called A Case of You. All I can remember is that it was slightly angsty and it def used the lyrics of this Joni Mitchell song at some point.

Any ideas who this might be by and where I might find it?

2/ The other fic was another spuffy story where on Buffy's birthday Spike takes her to a beautiful place, possibly overlooking the sea, near some woods. There are some guys who are out to kill Buffy, but Spike blocks the poisoned dark and dusts. For her birthday present he gave her a silver ring with something engraved on it. It's really, really sad and I remember that I cried buckets over it. Any ideas?

Ack! I remeber that second fic...in fact, I was JUST thinking about it the other day. I'll have to do some poking around as well.

Hope someone finds it for you, because I want to give it another read as well. Plus, I didn't know there was a sequel. :)

Can't help with the first but the second is 'All in a Whisper' by Sweetie which can be found on VK here (http://vampires-kiss.net/fics/allinawhisper.htm). There is an unfinished sequel (Sometimes They Come Back) also on Vampires Kiss (http://vampires-kiss.net/).

Just as a matter of total inconsequence - Sweetie's fic is also on Buffy & Spike Diaries under the name Babygirl. There are a lot more there than on VK. Just in case anyone's interested.
