spike doesn't love buffy

I can't remember much about this story (and may be mixing it up with another story), but in it Buffy realizes she has feelings for Spike, but he no longer does. She sets out to prove to him that she loves him and to change his mind. I remember that the last scene takes place on the beach (in front of his beach house?), but it may be from another story with the same basic thrust. It ends Spuffy-happy, but it's very angsty.

No, although that's a great story. In the story I'm trying to find, Spike is Spike, no amnesia. He's at that house because he moved, to move on from Buffy.

Sounds like it could be "Old Blood" by Nan Dibble. There's also a beach scene in Herself's "Distance," but it's not at the end.
