Another one

Not too much joy in finding the last fic I asked about (blood pressure rising steadily now!) but as I was about to doze off last night I remembered another one which I think is by the same author. And no, can't find this either!

Season 5. Post Crush (and possibly Intervention) Buffy gives Spike a choice - he can have a boink with her or be her friend. He goes the friendship route and becomes her lieutenant in the fight against Glory. He jumps off the tower to save them all in The Gift (planned by them all) but they forget him and leave his broken body behind. It's a bit 'every night I save him' after that as far as I can recall.

Ring any bells? Desperation levels rising here, folks!

Thank you! You're so right and, as she's one of my most favourite authors, I can only think that I put the story out of my head 'cos of the painful brilliance of it. Thank you, again.
