seeking_spike | (no subject)

Hi, it's been years since I last read actively in this fandom, but I've had a reason to remember it a bit. There's this story that I remember very little of, but I think I liked it a lot? Spike had gone away(after Seeing Red?) and Buffy found him by accident much later, I don't think it was in Sunnydale. He wasn't in a great shape, mentally and he was or had been self-abusive. And he had a male friend, I'm not sure if he was human or vampire and Buffy didn't know at first if they were lovers(they were) and was kinda jealous when she found out. Then the guy died in Spike's arms at some point and Buffy watched through a window or something. I'm pretty sure there must have been more to the story, possibly the whole gang was involved, but that's what's stuck in my head. And it seems even more vague black on white, but I hope someone will know what I'm talking about.
