Ok, so here's what I remember:

Buffy and Spike are together (I think their mated, but I'm not sure. Wait, I'm almost positive that their mater) and they go to visit Angel in LA for some reason.

Anyway, spike and Angel fight, Spike loses, and now he thinks that Buffy is going to chose Angel over him.

"Buffy looked down at Spike's crumpled form.

'Why did you lose?' Buffy hated to act/treat him this way..."

And that's all I remember. Anyone have any guesses?

Oh darn, I know this one, I really really do! But can't for the life of me remember who where or what... I'm going to go dig through the ones I've saved and see if it's there.

Darn, can't find it. I know someone will post it and I'll be smacking myself in the forhead cause I should have remembered it.
Don't know if it will help, but yes, they were definitely mated, and it was a longish fic, not just a single chapter fic. She treated him that way because it would get through to him that he could beat Angel. She was very stern with him, but it worked. He had lots of Angel issues in this one. I think they drove down the night before and stayed in a hotel. If I'm not getting it mixed up with another story I think they had sex or started to have sex on the hood of Angel's car after the fight also. Hopefully this helps!!

That is definitely the one I was thinking of. And yes, I'm smacking myself in the forhead, because I have that one saved in my files but missed it when I was searching. Hopefully that's the one that Serdd was searching for also!
