fic where spike stops loving buffy

hi everyone,

can anyone help? i am looking for a fic where spike has grown tired of loving buffy with no reciprocated feelings, so he does a spell to stop himself loving her. when buffy realises that he no longer loves her she is upset and confused and i think then realises what she was missing?

hey, i read this after your post and although the subject is similar i dont think its the one i am looking for. in the one i am hunting for spike actively does a spell to erase his love for buffy. thanks for trying though.

It could be It's Got to be Perfect by speaker-to-customers (http://www.speaker-to-customers.me.uk/buffyverse/fiction.htm). Except in that one, Buffy inadvertently makes a wish that makes Spike stop loving her.

In Reel Life by Darkrivertempest Willow does the spell - but like the anonymous person said - in So You Can Be Free by Thianna Spike does the spell himself.
And now I'm curious which one it is :)

I don't know it that's the story you're looking for - check it out. But it sounds like it:

There still could be another one - only you can tell. Just saw now that you weren't the one asking for the story - I'm not sure if the one is what another is looking for - some stories are very similar but it has the facts so it is very probably the one.

Thanks, the link works to the story but then it won't click to open the story and when you search for it on Spuffy Realm by story and author it is not listed.

Hi Chrissie,
I didn't notice this problem before - when you go to the Authors' list there is Thianna listed. That's weird. She comes only up when you select 'finished' too but a lot more stories than just her. I recommend going this way, through the author.

FYI - when you only search for the title "So You Can Be Free" it comes up.
I can open the chapters of the story just fine though.

This leads you to the print version of the whole story. That should be make you able to read it. I've started to read it in December 2005 and I remember it as a good story.

thanks everyone , i read this one last night and unfortunately i cant be sure its the one that i remember. it was good though. i will keep searching.
