Cosmic Screwdriver

Sorry, I don't remember too much about this fic, but I hope someone knows this one. All I can remember is that Dawn remembers some of her keyness and refers to herself as a cosmic screwdriver, she has more powers than just opening dimentional doors, she has a way to make money appear in their bank account. Dawn was also in love with another "tool" in TPTB's toolbox before she was put in a human body. This fic was Spuffy of course.

No, it wasn't Scorched, though I love that one and it's sequel. I think I may have merged the part where Dawn was in love before she was made human into the fic I am looking for. Thanks for the help though, and I think I will re-read Scorched, so thanks for the reminder of a really good fic.

There is a really brilliant fic where Dawn has much more powers, but it's mainly Buffy-centric and has a just a little B/S, little B/Faith, little B/S/Faith.
Now, all the fics I read are somehow spuffy, but for this one I made an exception: the focus is o the plot, it's full of adventure, science-fiction (of the intelligent kind) and kinda "cool". And it's als a x-over with Stargate SG-1 (you just need to know what that show is about). If yu are interested, here's the link

Scorched Dawn is a cosmic screwdriver. Opening of dimensional doors though I believe is in one of Ariel Dawn's stories in Second Youth's second part Love, Keyness & Impending Marriage. You could relate to Dawn with powers in End Before Beginning.

Dawn was had referred herself as a 'tool' in Scorched by Evenstar and the sequel The Devil You Know by Evenstar. Before she left with Michael she made sure that Buffy and Spike were set for life with money she made as she was a tool.

Really unsure of where you got the TPTB's toolbox because I am pretty sure I have read all the Dawn and Spuffy or Spike and Buffy fics there are.

However I searched all the stories I have come across featuring Dawn this way and the closest one's are by Evenstar and Ariel Dawn www.frozenbloodsicles.com/fanfiction.html

Thanks, I was getting the details mixed up, when you have spent years reading Spuffy you sometimes get the plots mixed up. I did re-read Scorched and the element that had me mixing it up with Scorched was the making money out of nothing. I know that the fic I described was Scorched, but I really remember reading a comedy/fluffy fic that had Dawn making money out of nothing, this was quite a few years ago on B/S Central.
I have read all of Ariel Dawn's work, and I have to agree that she is indeed fantastic.
