Spike as a White Angel of Death

Sorry with the vague details, but what I remember about this story is that it was rather long and post-series.  Buffy & Co. have established a Slayer School in a remote area of New England or Maine.  Spike appears and he's rather mysterious.  Someone is killed and suspicion falls on Spike.  I believe he did kill this person, but with reason.  He's a cast out angel.  Once he remembers this, he perches on top of the building and hopes to fly away.  They people watching below can see that Spike has wings.

I'm hopeful someone enjoyed this story as much as I did and can track it down for me.  It's been years since I read it.  Thanks.
