season two fic help

I'm looking for a fic in which Buffy and Spike go to a farm to recuperate following the Alcatha debacle.  At least I think thats where in the timeline it falls.  They end up together, and Xander, on his road trip runs into them and they end up coming home, bringing a mangy dog or a kitten or both.

Also, anybody remember a fic where buffy dreams about spike and in the dream they claim each other?  She wakes up and sees that the marks are actually on her neck. Turns out spike is alive in LA and thats how the marks are real.  They end up reuniting.  

Either of these sound familiar?
