Has anyone else seen this in a fic?

seeking_spikeI just finished jamies_lady story the Ultimate Betrayal (again...lol good story!) and the ending sounds oh so very similar to another story I read. Well, actually the book in the story except it had a different title and it was something like a book to the after life to help them become real again. Does anyone remember this story?
More info!!! I remember that they were ghosts from the amulet. (No this is not Ultrawoman's story...Just checked) Buffy didn't let go when Spike was frying to a crisp in the cave. They popped out of the amulet in Angel's office I think. When they kept vanishing out the would end up in Buffy's Sunnydale house and there was this After Life book that helped them become real to those around them rather than ghosts. They couldn't be apart from the book or they would go back to the Sunnydale house and have to start all over again. I think it had something to do with having an immense amount of sex and mating so they had learned to have this book with them at all times. God this is annoying and it was such a good story!
I remembered this too had a place for the afterlife. I know its out there but for the life of me I can't remember the title or who. I know it had something to do with Post BTVS.
Help would be so very much appreciated!
