Hi, whoever is out there!
My question: there was this S7 story, in which Spike, living at Revello, is trying to bond with the Scoobies in different ways to each one (for amends? for making them feel better? for forgiveness? can't remember.); with Willow, he starts by borrowing pencils and writing pads, then asks her (or someone else?) to get him some books from the library because he doesn't have a card.
Can some of you people with better memory remember this one? Thank you.

Sounds as though it might be Nan Dibble's 'Old Blood'. Though he gets his own books from the library in that one so it might be something else.

Definitely Nan Dibble's Old Blood (http://www.allaboutspike.com/fic.html?id=506); I read it this summer, and it was so good that I think about it all the time. And yes, Spike borrows pencils and notebooks from Willow and also sends her to the library for books.

Thank you, and thanks for the link! Isn't it weird that out of such an impressive and complex saga one will remember just that particular scene? It did have a lot of meaning, though.
