Because that is when the Spuffy should have happened. After Spike had some time to adapt and form friendships like the Spike and Dawn. And Buffy's attempt at a 'normal' boyfriend is failing. And best of all reasons, there's a god after them whose gonna destroy the world. If ever there's a time to use him for sex...

I know I've read many because I can think of many variations of events, but can't remember the names or authors:
-Spike drives them in the Winnebego to some cave to hide out until Glory runs out of time.
-Spike kills Ben.
-The knights burn down Buffy's house and they later end up living together in an apartment.
-Spike is sent away with Dawn and he goes to the Hyperion to discover it empty and then I don't know what happens.
-They all run away to the Hyperion and then I don't remember what happens.

No, I'm looking for any spike-centered fics with the Dawn and Glory thing. Those are just some events in some I've read, but have no idea which they are.

Just want to let you know I'm reading your fics now. I had read some before, like the one that starts out in the canyon. Great fic.

I'm reading To Save a Lady now and you are the first one to ever have Spike answer the question 'did you kill your mother?' the way he should have. Everyone always has him say yes and Buffy stomps off confirmed in her conviction that all vampires are just like Angelus.

“When did she…I mean was it before you were turned? Or did you…?”

“She had TB,” he said flatly. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

A lot of these sound familiar, the one that I recognize most immediately is:

That could be from EnigmaticBlue's "All the Graces of the Dawn", the sequel to "The Great Advantage of Being Alive"

I think the one with the knights burning down Buffy's house might be from Lucy Van Pelt's "protection" series. Protection (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1015027/1/). There are several stories though, and I'm not positive. Worth a read anyway!

I think this one's Dancing Lessons Book 1 which can be found at dl_archive
