seeking_spikeThis was a great Spike/Buffy fic, though I know it will probably always remain a WIP. It starts during or after the big battle in NFA.
Lots happens: Angel Shanshues; Willow accidentally 'downloads' Spike's memories when trying to locate him; we learn Spike hasn't had a soul since he returned from the amulet, but nobody even noticed; Cordelia returns; Oz and Anya show up; Tara gets in Dawn's body. Apparently, some of Buffy's soul was used to make Dawn, and Dawn feels she was hurting Buffy and that if he soul was returned she'd be able to love Spike like Dawn loves Spike and be whole. Dawn is afraid of not existing though, so she wanted Spike to turn her. She puts a spell on him to make him, but Tara's spirit or something senses that Spike is aware and was already making plans to put his soul into Dawn and then walk into the sunlight because of what would happen, and trying to stop it, Tara accidentally ends up in Dawn's body while Dawn's soul is in the orb of thesula. When the orb smashes, Dawn's piece of soul returns to Buffy and they do a cool mind-meld thing. Illyria is also really fun in this fic, with Wesley warming up to her especially when he learns she called his father a 'wanker', though she's having trouble with being Fred, but not.
