Hi,

Not sure if I have enough of this to get help, but I'm looking for a fic where the only thing I remember is two lines: 'He ried to rape you' by Xander followed by 'So did you' by Buffy. If that rings any bells...please let me know!

I know that it was spuffy and that buffy was defending her relationship with spike, but I dont remember anything else. Sorry. I know I am of no help. I wish I could remember more, it obviously made an impact on me though...I can't get those two lines out of my head.

It totally rings bells - but, alas, as usual, the bells aren't helping me remember what the fic is or where I read it. I think it was fairly recently, though, so that would make the BSV a good place to start.

This is the one where Buffy is paralyzed and Joyce asks Spike to take care of her right? Buffy is horrible to all her friends and loved ones and Spike (having no pity for her) gets her to snap out of it. It was a long fic, he bathes her, she tries to slit her wrists and he catches her. I haven't been a Spuffy reader for a while (I'm Spangel now) so I'd like to say it was written by either Kallysten, Ripe Wicked Plum, Eurydice, or Kantayra? Maybe Cousin Jean? Hope not cuz her stories are no longer around. Those were the main Spuffy writers I read back then. Also it takes a while before they get together. I remember being so impressed with those two lines you mentioned, because so few stories (at the time) made that point about Xander. I remember Xander was devastated by what she said and then gave up on her. I think he had a convo in the hall with Spike about it, but I can't be sure. If any of this rings any bells, repost with these details and you'll find it in no time. And when you do? Please send it my way. I can't believe it, but I'm craving Spuffy in a bad way. Think it's cuz I just had to re-read Pagan Baby's "The Sitter" for all that yummy Spilliam slash :)
