long fic, spuffy, wooden table

Looking for a pretty long Spuffy fic. There are only two things I remember:

1) Buffy brings Spike into some Slayer castle, and gives a speech defending Spike because they're not letting him in.

2) While in the castle, Spike is staying away from Buffy, she goes on some slaying trip (to give him space?), he breaks some solid old wooden table (I feel like he shaves his head too or something...)
