Spike follows Buffy to Afterlife?

Does anyone remember a story in which Spike follows Buffy into the afterlife (possibly after she jumps at the end of Season 5),  To him trying to get to her the place is hell, but it turns out that's because he's a soulless vamp and for Buffy it's a sort of heaven, she even lives there with Joyce.  But Spike needs her to come back to Sunnydale.

I remember it as being very well written and there was one scene in particular between Spike and Joyce that made me cry. 

Does this ring any bells for anyone?  I just started reading The Writing on the Wall by Holly and some similar themes made the old story pop into my head.
