I keep checking Bitterness' site, Dangerous for updates to this story.  
Her last one was in Dec. 2009.
Does anyone know if she is still writing?
The last chapter I could find was 36.
Is it complete anywhere else?

Long Time Gone by Bitterness

Status: Currently being re-written. Thirty-six chapters posted. Looking at 40+.

AU all-human. When Buffy and Spike were in high school, everything was nearly perfect for them-- until she mysteriously disappeared. Now, five years later, Buffy's returned for her mother's funeral, and to take over caring for her sister, Dawn. Can Dawn and Spike ever forgive her for running away? Especially when she won't tell them why?

Thanks. I love the story as well. It's so rich and detailed. I love Dawn having a thing for Oz. Was hoping I had just missed an update somehow.

I don't know if you're watching her LJ - see the newest entry from November 8th, 2010:
There will be 45 chapters and an epilogue to this story. I just finished Chapter 43. When it's completely done, I'll post it all on my website and then, hopefully on here. Even if it doesn't make it to Livejournal, there will be links. Thanks to everyone who kept reading.
