Buffy and Giles come to S'dale from 2 different AUs

 I read this one while busy tweaking another story, put it aside for later, and promptly lost it.  It starts from Giles' POV, just before the final battle at the school with the First.  Giles is the last one alive.  Either through Willow's spell or his own wish, he's sent not only back in time but to another universe, where Joyce (and the Scoobies too, I think) has just gotten home from Buffy's funeral.  A third, younger Buffy, from another earier 'verse that's also the last left alive also arrives.  Not only does everyone have to contend with having Buffy alive again, but Giles has to work out still being in love with his Slayer, who's no longer of age.

So I got a few details wrong... I finally found this in my files while looking for and X-Files series (which I didn't find). It's called Somewhere in Time by Gilesbabe at Just Rewards. Buffy and Willow are the only ones left at the battle with the First. Using all her powers Willow sends Buffy through a vortex before destroying the world to end the First and its hordes. Before the end she uses the vortex to find Giles whose Buffy has just been killed by the Master. So we have 2003 Buffy (she'd the lover) and 1997 Giles (who never knew Angelus or Riley) to a Ravello Drive somewhere in between where B and G have just been killed by a drunk driver and there's no Dawn. At 9 chapters, it's 3.5 years unfinished but still a good read.
