Help?

Ok, so I know this one is going to be a long-shot.

I read this story years ago, I believe back when the series was still on-air but I could be mistaken. My memory is a bit fuzzy, so there's a LOT of details missing.

I believe it took place during either Season 5 or 6 of Buffy - before Spike got his soul. All I remember is that somehow Spike was...erm, broken. I don't quite remember how. I know that despite her best efforts, Buffy wasn't helping with the situation so she had to call in Angel for assistance. For some reason, in order to help Spike, Angel had to pretend to be Angelus and none-too-kind to our poor Spike. I believe they had Spike either chained up/caged up in the training section of the Magic Box also, but I'm not entirely sure.

I know this is an extreme long-shot, but for some reason this story has been itching at the back of my brain for quite some time now. If memory serves me correct, it was posted on FF.net (back then I was pretty new to fanfiction and I think that was the only site I knew about at the time).

Any help finding this story would be unbelievably appreciated! Thanks!

And might I add: your use of character is absolutely stunning. It reads like an actual episode of Buffy....if the show took a very dark turn of course. You're a phenomenal author :)
