Seeking Spangel story

I remember one scene of the story - Angel is mad at Spike and forces him to sing for Lorne at Caritas. While Spike does a terrific job singing, Angel suddenly remembers the music teacher he had once gotten for Spike, and he remembers torturing the music teacher to death in front of Spike while making Spike sing and the music teacher keep time as he is dying in agonizing pain..

I've been looking through my tons of bookmarked fiction and I can't remember either the title or author. I'm pretty sure this is one of the Spike goes to Angel - probably for the chip - and I suspect Connor may be a baby, but I may be wrong on that part.

Just tried All About Spike - nothing sounds familiar. Seems to me it was one of the longer Spike and Angel struggle to overcome the past.

Gotta say I have enjoyed several old favorites while I've been looking!

I've tried Counting the Days, and that's no it. The Crypt is such a challenge to go through. And I know I'm gonna find out it's one of my bookmarked stories - which is even more frustrating. When I was new to fandom, and first bookmarking, I just bookmarked by title because I knew I would always remember them. Now I have hundreds bookmarked in seperate categories....just by title.....

I weep at my stupidity!

I have officially gone through the entire Crypt!! There is nothing that includes this scene as far as I can tell. I checked all the pre AtS Spike & Angel combinations which were over 1 chapter.

Aaargh! Gonna post this request in my journal for anyone who might know more!
