Looking for a fic, need some help with my poor memory.

I don't have the time to skim through the hundreds of stories I have read and saved so I am hoping someone else can remember. I am looking for a story, I can not remember if it is a stand alone or part of a series, and the only thing that I remember is that Spike and Buffy had made their deal that Spike would help her with Angelus and she would allow him to leave safely with Dru unharmed. After the deed was done, Spike was fleeing with Dru and Xander, even though he knew of the agreement, attempted to dust Spike by shooting him with a crossbow. Spike then looked at Buffy with a betrayed, sad look and left with the unconscious Dru. I think that there was already feeling developing between Spuffy , they may have already even slept together, and that Buffy was very angry with Xander and feared that Spike may never return. But of course he did...........................
That is all I remember. Anybody have a better memory than me? Thanks!

Oh holy crap! I know that story! I think it's a time travel fic with Buffy going back in time. It'll take me a while to go through my favorites and find it but I will look for it.

It's one of mine. I think it's Hearts Breaking Even, but let me double-check... it could be Prologue to Life/I Know You.

Like I said - I'm just excited to know the answer. Usually, with my lack of ability to remember titles and/or authors, all I can to is flail around going "I know that fic!" (note: had to look up my own to make sure). Then, if I do know it because it's one of mine, I'm usually behind somebody else when it comes to responding, so I don't get to be helpful. :)

Thanks ladies! I thought that it was yours Slayme, but I have read everything Spuffy you have written and like I said, didn't have the energy to skim every thing.
I have been reading a ton of AH stuff and am getting nostalgic wanting to read some classic, old school Vamp Spike fics again.
