Xander comes back to S'dale with the Profilers

What the hell happened to all this fiction I know damn well I saved??!! This one has Xander coming back to Sunnydale after years of being out of touch with the Scoobies. He's a member of Bailey Malone's team (The Profiler xover) investigation a series of murders of young women. Willow is out of town when he arrives, on a business trip as a computer programmer. Tara is now with a de-ratted Amy. The murders have something to do with a generational spell affecting the descendants of a group of Salem witches, and Amy is the next target. When the team comes to town and checks into a motel, Xander (now Alex) realizes they're in the same room where he lost his virginity a decade ago.

I found a reference to a story called "Absent Comrades" - sounded like it fit the bill - it seemed to be located in fanfiction.net but I can't find the actual story.
