Help please. Looking for a fic which I was reminded of when reading something at good__evil the other day. I assume it is eventually Spuffy, but the only detail I can really remember is that Buffy didn't go to Sunnydale after leaving LA, but left with someone (I assume Pike) who was later turned, but they stayed together as mates until he was dusted. What happens next? Can't remember, so I'm hoping I've not imagined this fic and that someone out there recognises it.

I definitely remember the fic you're referring to. It's by Kari Mouke, but I don't recall the title. Kari's site went down some time ago and it's not one of the fics archived at Bring on the Bloodshed. I also see that all of Kari's fics were removed from Vampire's Kiss in December. It was Buffy/Pike for a bit, as you said, then Spike/Buffy friendship, then full on Spuffy. Angel/us and Dru were involved. This was a great fic, and I have always really enjoyed Kari's work. Does anyone know if this is still out there?

Sorry to say Kari quit the fandom and handed over her site to the rest of us Misfits. She had so many things going on in RL she decided it was for the best and yes she removed every fic she ever posted anywhere. She asked that her stuff not be sent out to others.

Thanks Rae - at least I can stop trying to remember what fic it was. Must be one of the only one of Kari's I don't actually have saved.

it's called Never Give Up. and no it's not posted anywhere anymore. if you are lucky someone might have copied it before her site went down, but i remembered she asked people not to hand out her stories so good luck. sorry

Thanks for letting me know - at least I know what the fic was called and who it was written by, and can now stop trying to remember, even if I can't read it again.
