Whispers in a Dead Man's Ear by "?"

Hallo, Community!
First, I hope this is the right place for this question, if not, let me know and sorry.
I was trying to organize my huge folder of extra old fanfiction, and I found a long story by this title (it's not Waddiwasiwitch's Dawn's story), and for some reason the title is there but not the name of the author. It's a long, well written story if I remember correctly and it starts with:
"Of all the gin joints in all the world…"
Anybody can tell me who's written it?

Okay, a quick search on Bing and then some judicious use of the Wayback Machine seems to show that it's by AmyB.

I found it rec'd on Axis of Love here (http://www.axisoflove.org/affiliates.html) with the author's name... the link was dead, but through the Wayback Machine I got the first chapter here (http://web.archive.org/web/20120711060838/http://www.sand-in-my-shoes.com/mirror/Whispers1.html) and it looks to be the right one!

Aha! Thanks for the link! I somehow missed it when it was first posted, but started it this morning after finding it on the Wayback Machine. That's going to be a much better place to read it.

So you mean that you will post the last chapter on Seasonal Spuffy?

Because I began reading it yesterday via the wayback link which works fine for me btw. And WOW!

The author has managed to make me cry already and so far she's keeping everything nicely canon which I always love when it comes to Spuffy.

Spike and Buffy are perfect, voices spot on... In short, it's one of the best Spuffy fics I've read in a long time and I've only read 3 chapters so far!
