Spike and the blood of a Mohra demon in a cemetary

I'm looking for a fic where Spike and Buffy were arguing in a graveyard, I think it was season 6 but it was definitely before a soul and after he started patrolling with her. The argument ended with Buffy stalking away. After Buffy left Spike was ambushed by a group of angry demons who were looking for revenge (possibly because he was killing demons with Buffy) and decided to get it with a vial of Mohra demon blood, turning Spike human.

I think at that point Buffy heard the kerfuffle and went back and rescued Spike.

The rest of the fic involved everyone dealing with a now human Spike.

I don't necessarily need a link. I just can't remember the author or title.

No. I don't think so. Humanitis starts with Spike waking up human and it takes a bit for us to discover how it happened. What I described above was the start of the fic. Also, I vaguely remember comparing it to Humanitis when I read it because I had recently read that fic.

Oh! I also remember that I'm pretty sure I read this while the show was still airing so it's more classic than recent.

No. That has the Initiative turning Spike human in the Initiative labs, the fic I'm looking for is definitely demons with a glowing vial of blood in a cemetery. And Buffy got to the gates of the cemetery and heard the fight so she ran back and rescued Spike after they had cut him and poured a glowing blue or green liquid in the cut. I think they intended to kill him after turning him human but I'm not completely clear on that part.

Oh my gosh, you have got to be kidding me! You have absolutely no idea how funny this is... you see, I was at a convention this last weekend in Columbus, OH, which is why I wasn't home to search for that one. At a convention, with HLynn. No joke, we were splitting a hotel room. And even funnier? When your query came through, I'm almost positive I *read* it to her and talked about how I knew I'd reread it recently and had to have a copy at home... and it apparently didn't click for her either! Gonna have to tease her about that!

Nope, no James at this one... it's a really big gaming convention (card games, board games, role-playing games). Hlynn and I were actually there meeting up with a bunch of our friends from Star Wars fandom. It's something we do every year at this convention. I've actually seen him in person a number times though (including going to a solo performance he did at a nightclub in Santa Monica back when BtVS was still on the air). I've got tickets to go see him in that play with Juliet Landau in September and I can't wait!
