Time travel fic

seeking_spikeSo, originally I was going to be asking about two different time travel fics... but I was pretty sure I'd already asked about "looping time" one at some point and managed to track down the reply I got (back in 2010!) to find out it was "Dispose the Day" by Sersi & Cylla. However the other one is still eluding me. I blame the raging head cold I'm dealing with now, because I rather suspect I'll be kicking myself for not remembering when I finally do find it.
The story I'm wanting to find has, I think, Buffy and Spike both sent back in time... and the thing that's sticking out in my head is that they go back before Dawn shows up and when she does, they both can tell something has happened but aren't sure what at first. Spike actually says something along the lines of "Hullo, Bit. Where have you been hiding?" (I don't know that I've got the wording right, but that's the gist of it). Any ideas?
I'm thinking it might be the same story where they were just being sent back to prevent Buffy from dying or, barring that, prevent her from being brought back, but they end up overshooting and going back at the time of their fight in "Harsh Light of Day." Of course all of that last bit could be from yet *another* time travel story that I'm getting all mixed up.

Date: 2013-09-18 03:24 pm (UTC)Yes, of course! See, I *knew* I should know the story and author... especially since I tend to reread her stuff at least once a year and I think I may have even reread that particular story a few months ago. Definitely blaming the head cold on this one.
