vampire car chase

There's a Spuffy that starts during the summer that Buffy's dead. In it Dawn calls.Tara after she and her friends go to a crappy club and she thinks things are going badly. Tara calls Spike to go get them, and they end up being chased by a car full of vampires. Janice freaks out after realizing what's chasing them, and Dawn's blonde friend keeps hitting on Spike even after finding he's a vampire, revealing she's Harmony's younger sister.

Hmmm... the one I'm thinking of doesn't have exactly that scene, but it does have Dawn and her friends running into Spike and Xander at a bar and being hauled out. One of the friends turns out to be Harmony's little sister, Megan. Spike and Xander are driving them home when they run across a trap, of sorts, and get into trouble. Probably not the same one, but you can take a look... it's Necessary Evils (http://sleepingjaguars.com/buffy/viewstory.php?sid=86) by rahirah (it's the sequel to A Raising in the Sun (http://sleepingjaguars.com/buffy/viewstory.php?sid=80) (the action I described happens around chapters five and six of "Necessary Evils," I think).

It really doesn't quite fit, though, because Buffy's alive by that point and there's no car chase. Let me think about this one, because I may have another fic with a similar scene tickling the back of my brain.

LOL! I have to confess that Megan is possibly my most favorite OC in a Buffy fic, so she sprang to mind immediately when I read the query.

Huh. That sounds kind of like a chapter of "Necessary Evils." In that one, Dawn and her friends run into Spike and Xander at the crappy club, and they all have to run when Spike starts a fight by cheating some frat boys at pool. One of Dawn's friends is Harmony's younger sister, who does have a crush on Spike, and the series does start while Buffy's dead. (She's alive again by the time this chapter happens.) There's no car full of vampires chasing them, though, so maybe it's two different stories.
