Post-grave, Human Spike is in training to be a watcher

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

After visiting Africa, Spike has become human.  He went to Giles for help, and is enrolled in the Watcher's Academy.  Meanwhile, Dawn has been developing portal creation skills.  At one point, she opens a portal to William's "dorm" room.  She accidentally leaves behind a pendant in the process.

Eventually, WIlliam comes to Sunnydale, as a Watcher.

I found it if anybody else was interested..

The scene with Dawn entering his room happens in the 2nd story, "New Beginnings"
